The second sentence is very true. It can be disappointing when you work on crafting a long, formal email to a professor and receive something like "hey, sounds good... sent from my iPhone" in response (might as well just text me).
Surprise guests make a video call much more exciting! Remember this:
Looking at your phone during dinner tells the other person you're bored and uninterested. Be like Romeo and Juliet and answer your texts once the show's over.
