  1. LOL the T-Rex and Alligator are my favorite. Your interpretation of this video is spot on! There is nothing to really say about this. You are definitely proficient in the medium and this is definitely a culturally relevant video. Showing something like this to your students would definitely get a rise out of them and get them interested in the medium. I think you incorporated your takeaways pretty well in your choice of video and how you edited it. For example, kids can see that you obviously aren't an animal but you depicted animals pretty well, all without having to be hyper realistic. Great job!

  2. This is so amazing Becca. The interpretation connects perfectly to the video you took it from. I admire you to do the videos without laughing. I can definitely tell that you have a vast experience with the medium of editing video, as well as the shooting techniques. There is such a unique connection to animals and kids that it would be so fun to recreate with students. I would see you furthering this into a new level, by thinking how plants eat, or any other living creatures. Thank you for sharing!

  3. OMG! You have such fantastic physical comedy. I think this video project is uncovering some serious hidden talents in our class. It reminds something Linda said the other day about how good classroom management = acting crazy/ridiculous in front of your students. I think if you should this to you students they would find it hilarious and just not know what to expect next! The sound effects are spot on! Did you match the sound effects to each animal, for example an elephant sound to the elephant scene, or pick sounds based on what sounded best?

Your video reminded me of this youtube video I saw on the channel Every Frame A Painting (also a great reference for video work) about the visual comedy of Edgar Wright (Shawn of the Dead, Baby Driver, Hot Fuzz). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FOzD4Sfgag
The video talks a bit about how we don't see as many jokes anymore that rely on visuals instead of dialogue. The video also has a section about the perfectly timed sound effect, which you nailed!
